To go through a door, you have to have been there before

To go through a door, you have to have been there before

I’m not quoting Alice & Wonderland, It’s how your mind processes change.

Picture this, a new opportunity presents itself, your mind may do one or all of the following:

  1. Start to freak out, fill with “what if I do it wrong” “What if I’m not good enough”
  2. Find ways to self sabotage so you won’t be hurt, let down, made fun of AKA keep you “safe”
  3. Make stories about how you don’t belong or deserve to move through that door… project this “reality” outward where surprise, surprise you start to see “proof” of your limiting beliefs.

Your mind may have a hard time trusting that it’s safe to go through a door you’ve never been through before. It makes up how it assumes it’ll go, convinces you to see, feel and believe this version so you won’t experience pain, disappointment or disapproval.

That’s your mind on autopilot, but it’s not your only option!

Imagine this, a new opportunity presents itself OR you’d like one to. You decide to visualize how you want it to happen! Every clear detail, how you’ll feel, look and engage with your new opportunity.

You are actively creating, sensing and becoming every pixel of the visualization as it comes to life, allowing you to walk through that door!

You get to decide. It may take practice, your mind may resist. It might rather you play small if it means less opportunities for pain. Don’t believe it’s hype. Trust yourself, envision the path you want and step through.

To go through a door you have to have been there before. Where do you want to go?
