Recalling your highest goal

Recalling your highest goal

Have you ever set about doing something, an important something that matters deeply to you?

Maybe the goal is financial, you want to save a certain amount to buy your first investment property. Perhaps the goal is more physical, you want to eat healthier and walk more because you’re planning a trip abroad. Whatever your goal, you’ll most likely be all about it at first,  lit up with the energy of that highest goal feeling.

Let’s flash forward 6 months. You’re knee deep in the daily realness of what it means to stick to that budget for your long term,  now seemingly far off goal. How do you stay connected to that energy, that excitement, the highest goal feeling and purpose that led you to set it in the first place?

You do it daily, in small doses with little reminders, mindset motivators and bite size goals. What does that look like?

Here are some creative ideas you can try out:

  1. Make a vision/manifestation board. Make it 5x8 and framed on your bedside so you see it everyday! Make it REAL, take a picture of the house you want, a pile of money in a bank vault, you and your sister taped on a photo of the Scottish Highlands…specific and in sight.
  2. Practice visualizing what you want, and I mean as if you have on VR goggles and it’s right in front of you. See the wood grain of the siding, walk the path to the backyard, touch the countertops. Make it real.
  3. Experience the feeling of your highest goal, now. It’s not a shortcut, it’s a mind hack. Feelings turn into thoughts that create action, that have the capacity to change your direction and thus your opportunities. Repeat, repeat, repeat. You have the power to create any feeling you wish. What does it feel like to have the energy of your highest goal now? Feel it. It’s yours anytime you need it. Practice this.
  4. Set smaller weekly goals to inspire yourself. Let’s take saving money. You do well till the weekend then lose momentum. Congrats!! Awareness is the first step.  The second step is to make adjustments aligned with your higher goal. If you normally go to dinner then out for drinks. A new aligned choice might be to share your goal with your dinner pals,  make plans to take turns having dinner at each other's homes. Each of you bringing an item and learning how to make a new drink each time.

Reconnecting with your highest goal can be an inspirational way to reconnect with yourself.

Happy manifesting!
