All of your experiences are Welcome
All of your experiences are Welcome
There are lots of helpful sites about crafting a resume. Tips for writing down the “Good” bits in a brief account. It’s not a bad timeline for personal, school and work accomplishments.
The sticky wicket comes when you attach meaning, such as self worth to items on the timeline.
When other experiences in your life, on an alternate timeline perhaps, have another meaning attached such as; Bad, Mistake, Stupid, Unworthy.
Why is it important to acknowledge, accept and allow all of our experiences?
What you don’t accept you can’t receive. Here’s why:
Let’s say you have an experience you judge as negative. Afterwards you criticize and censor yourself. You may be aware of this judgment OR unconscious to how it’s affecting you.
This constant judgment leaves you guarded, exhausted and then you end up judging others to get rid of that energy. Healing starts with heart, yours.
- Compassionate self awareness
- Daily assessment of the lens you use (Projection prevention)
- Name three things you learned from the experience
- How has what you learned changed/enriched your life?
-
Consistent reflection on the benefits/gifts of these varied experiences (don’t forget how wonderful you are)
When you allow space and give kindness to all that is YOU, there will be the same space for others.
You’ll be able to receive all the goodness that surrounds you, because you truly believe yourself worthy, because you have accepted all of your self as worthy.
What you accept you will reflect! The light you see in others is one you have in yourself.
All of you is Welcome.
The parts you include on your timeline and the parts you only tell your cat about.
